Change of date for the Hotwire Cafe gig!

Hello Certifans,

We regret to inform you that this Friday's show at the Hotwire has been canceled. We wanted to perform with the Shoreline Philharmonic Orchestra, but apparently the Hotwire doesn't have room for that kind of extravaganza so we rescheduled for November 21st. In the meantime, feel free to entertain yourselves with the music we have posted on www.certaininertia.com. All the best,

Certain Inertia

Shows in October

Dear Certifans,

We are pleased to announce that we will be performing two shows this month. Our first show is at the High Dive in Fremont. We will be playing a happy hour set from 6 to 7, so feel free to drop in, have a few drinks, hear some tunes, and still have time to enjoy the rest of your Saturday evening. Our other show is at the Hotwire Online Coffeehouse, which is an all ages event. We played there a few months back, and it turned out to be a great show.

If you haven't already, check out www.certaininertia .com for some live tracks from our 8/8/08 gig at the LAB. While you're at it, don't forget to ask about stickers and t-shirts. Send us an email or ask us at a show if you're interested.

Year of the RAT

We had a busy week. Played the Mainstage on Wednesday night and the Central Saloon on Thursday (biker night). It was great. As it turned out, Discordia's singer was sick so we scrambled to find another band to play with us. Enter Reece, the long lost prodigal son (bassist). In town for a week to visit and take care of business. He talked to a friend who talked to a friend and voila! Velvet Drive. Kick ass band that came in at the last minute and rocked the house. Check them out at: http://www.myspace.com/velvetdrivemusic

The highlight of the night though, was watching Peter almost jump off the stage when a big brown rat ran across the front of the drum riser. Hi lary ous!

Hope to see you all at the next gig. Peace.

A pleasant surprise!

Last Friday we played the Hotwire Cafe in Shoreline. It was a great venue and we had a great time. We mixed up our set a little bit and toned down the music to match the ambience of the coffee house vibe and it really worked. We look forward to playing their again.

Saturday night we played the MIX and had a good time too. We tried out our "Cafe" mix and it seemed to work there also.

We have a couple of upcoming gigs... The Central Saloon, downtown Seattle, with our good friends Discordia. And the Mainstage, across from Key Arena. Down the road in August we'll be at the Seattle Drum School (L.A.B.) with our good friends The Hunting Club. So, there are plenty of opportunities to get out to listen to your favorite Seattle band, Certain Inertia! Check our calendar regularly!

Short Notice MIX Gig

Thanks to Jesse at The Leveebreaking for getting us a gig on short notice. Hope to see all our friends down in Georgetown on Saturday night. I'ts also the Georgetown "Art Attack". Our good friends the Susan Harper Conspiracy & The Nextdoor Neighbors will be openning up for us. The Nextdoor Neighbors won the EMP Battle of the Bands last month. Should be a great night.

High Dive Gig and Big John

Thanks to the High Dive for a great gig last night. We had a lot of fun. John Miller, our stand-in bass player, did a fantastic job on short notice. He was a real pro and the gig went off without a hitch. Who knows? He may be stick'n around. Stay tuned...

Reece, we miss you.

Our long-time bassist, Reece, has moved to Japan! But he remains in our heart and Certain Inertia will continue to make great music.
